My story

My name is Franck Alexandre. I grew up in Ardennes, in a humble family. My father was unemployed and my mother interpreted cards. My brother took drugs and I myself was very violent and I practised martial arts. My mother often called me to her to interpret cards for me. She was known as a seeress and she practised besides other a pendulum and palmistry.

Once a card interpreter offered my mother to go to a spiritism training so she could add this practice to her work and thus earn more money. She came back delighted by the training and she started to practice spiritism (invoking spirits of dead people). Her clientele got bigger and she earned a lot of money. But the money was spent as fast as it was earned. From that moment a strange things started to happen in our house: pots were falling down, furniture was moving during a night.

I was also interested in occult sciences very much. I devoured books about parapsychology and I tried to move papers and bend spoons from a distance. I was able to switch off a TV and lights by a word. However what was fun for me at the beginning became quickly a nightmare. Invisible hands grabbed me at night very often and touches chased me. I started living in fear and in constant dread despite being a holder of a black belt in karate. I went through a hell, bifurcating of personality, I was alone with my problems, not knowing where to find help. I didn’t want to consult a psychiatrist because I knew well that I would not get over it by pills – my problem was of a spiritual character.

My little 6 years old sister was also pulled into this occult world and she started turning tables. She woke up at night and cried with horror; she had visions of monsters and cemeteries. All our family was immersed into a dark world and we couldn’t do anything to get out of it.

One day I wanted to fight against those forces with my fists and swearing and I felt that one terrible thing went into me and divided me inside.

I was convinced that we communicated not with the dead but with evil spirits. Their language was full of contradiction, which was still even bigger.

One morning in February 1985 after a sleepless night a voice inside of me told me: “Get up, it is the time, die young! I approached a window with an irresistible desire to commit a suicide to end my suffering once for all. I saw a street 6 floors blow me and was getting ready to jump.

Suddenly a striking thought flashed through my mind: “Are you sure that your suffering will end? Will not you by chance go to hell?”

I closed the window by force and I fell to my knees in a trance, crying to God with all my heart! I told him: God, I don’t know who you are, I don’t know whether you are Buddha, Mohammed or Jesus Christ but I turn to YOU, who created heaven and earth – if you exist, save me, I beg you ardently!

My parents heard a noise and came to my room. They found my in a trance and in tears. They didn’t know what to do. I saw my father defenceless and my mother helpless. I announced to my mother that I would find a different apartment because our house was obsessed. I was mentally exhausted! I couldn’t sleep for several months already.

In that Saturday morning I went out and I wandered in streets. Some group of Christians handed me some leaflet which I ruffled quickly. Then I met them again. I took a leaflet to make them happy and went my way.

Suddenly I gained a conviction that the God to whom I called was giving me a date in the same morning. I returned back in my footsteps and I told a man who handed me the leaflet: “Good morning sir. My name is Franck Alexandre, my mother is a card interpreter, spiritist and so on… I am called a son of a witch. My house is obsessed from a basement till an attic. I am surrounded by “ghosts”, I am a victim of touches, I hear voices. A relationship between my mother and father is tense. My little sister sees monsters at night and she screams! I have a black belt in karate and I do fight shows at fairs… Do you have a solution for me?”strong>

That man replied to me: “Yes, you are under an influence of a curse, but Jesus can free you.” He opened a Bible and read a passage to me: Deuteronomy 18,10n: There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord.

During reading this text I was convinced it was the truth. I accepted an invitation to come to a meeting that evening and there I realized that among those Christians there was somebody stronger than spirits which lived in me. At the end of the meeting pastors prayed for me, they invited me to ask for forgiveness of my sins and to confess Jesus as my Savior and Lord. After this I had a vision: I saw a river which flew from the God’s heart and which was coming to free all my being. I heard a noise of chains which were breaking and a sound of door which were opening. A great and celestial peace wrapped me and I heard a Jesus’ voice telling me: „You are my servant. I have chosen you to bring the Gospel to the nations.“

Today I am a gospeller and I preach the Gospel in many countries. Preaching is accompanied by many miracles.

I came back home completely liberated, filled with joy and I ran to announce the good news to my mother. She was at that moment turning cups with one witch. This woman wanted to read my fate to me but I ordered her in the name of Jesus to leave and she ran away.

My mother accepted a visit of a pastor and she understood that what she was doing was forbidden by God. She left everything and she accepted Jesus as a Savior. All my family converted to Jesus and my father was healed from his ulcer in an evangelical church.

There is a visible world and there is also an invisible world. Whether we believe it or not, we are surrounded by a world of spirits. God exists, angles too, but at the same time also devil and evil spirits. These evil spirits rule over us and affect us because we are separated from God. We are separated from God because of our sin. If we repent and convert to Jesus, we can be freed from devil’s and evil spirits’ action on our life. Dying at a cross Jesus redeemed our faults, reconciled us with God, and freed us from a power of devil and evil spirits. Jesus rose from the dead. Jesus – and nobody else conquered devil. If we believe in him – in nobody else - we can start a new life, overcome a sin and powers of darkness.

Devil and evil spirits lead us to hell – Jesus leads us to heaven. It is up to us to choose well.
